You simply can’t make a better “how to” video than this. Start to finish this was excellent and informative. Thank you so much.

I watched the video once fully and once again to review the main steps. A complete lifesaver! I did this myself for the first time in just little over an hour. Best video for how to change your alternator, hands down!

I was able to replace my 2012 Camry alternator with this video! I followed step by step (I removed the optional bracket) and the only thing I did differently was place the belt under the tensioner pulley last rather than the alternator pulley being last. Thanks for the video!

Hands down the most excellent tutorial on KZbin. I couldn’t get the belt over the alternator and if you’re having that issue put it on the alternator first and then try to slide it over the water pump. That’s what worked for me.

This was extremely helpful for me. I have a 2017 toyota camry se 2.5L and your step-by-step instructions especially with the diagram of the serpentine belt really helped for me to get the job done. I only have a few other comments and suggestions. Some of these parts are being removed for the first time so they're not quite as easy to detach. Threading that top bolt took me 1 hour too! What helped was inserting something smaller to try to figure out how to align all the holes. Maneuvering around isn't so easy either and its hard to have the right angles for certain tools especially when you have to add multiple adapters to the socket wrench. For example, my oil dipstick and the wires made it difficult for me to remove the bolt for the bracket. I had to remove the dipstick and taped it so nothing would get in. Maybe mentioning a few tips in regards to these comments would also help. But honestly, one of the best videos I've seen on replacing a part or car repair. Thanks again so much! I don't have to worry about my car stalling on the freeway again! 😅

Just got done re watching and installing my new Denso (refurbished) alternator. This is by fare the best in video to watch if one is replacing their alternator. I even went out and purchased a $19.95 Pittsburg Pro Torque Wrench for Harbor Freight to get that 38lb torque on the alternator. Haven't used such in 50 yrs.

Thank you for the excellent video. Great job 👍🏻 I preferred keeping the belt partially on throughout the process made it much easier.

Thanks for the video. Just a tip for the beginners like me try no remove the belt if you can… it’s a pain putting it back on even with the help of the tensioner.

excellent video. for me, I found installing the serpentine belt on the AC last was easiest. others have said the water pump.

The bottom bolt on the alternator was a bear, I had to back it out 1/4 turn at a time with a breaker bar. Denso doesn't do a good job of tapping the hole, apparently, and they must have just powered the bolt in at the factory. The lower mounting hole on the old one and the new one were both undersized. It's M10 x 1.25mm thread. I would suggest buying a tap and a tap wrench and a spare bolt before you open the hood. Anti-seize lubricant is probably a good idea also, because I think the alternator housing is cast aluminum. Maybe on the remanufactured alternators they retap the hole for you, I don't know.
