I don’t really understand why you would pinch your airline. That would cause a weak spoke which could become a hole. I just let the air out of the bags remove one and start the truck up. The air compressor adds more than enough air to keep the other bags full enough to replace the new airbag. I just did all 4 of mine that way.

Could you use the suspension dump switch in the cab instead of using the leveling valve to inflate and deflate the suspension?

Easy one there got to like them. I always hated trailers for some reason fight all the way. I never liked the ones that had the nut and air line together. Remove air line, fitting, clean off the top to get to the big nut and hope it comes off after wire brushing it as good as possible. I didn't have torches on my service truck had air compressor ya. Great video thanks sorry I rambled on. The trailer always had to be loaded to. I like your videos very professional and informative

We did an airbag on a trailer a week or two ago and I had someone ask me to do a video replacing one on a truck and I guess it cursed me because we had one to go bad on one out trucks the next day and two bad ones on this truck today..... so I thought what the heck and decided to video it. We don't always do things the "perfect" way by some people's standards I guess but we do them the best way we know how ! We are gonna keep making them and just see how it goes. clean the bolts and oil them before reinstalling. clamping the air line can damage or weaken it.

Note that the 'use the air suspension to lift/lower the frame' move is ill advised if you're working on a piece of shit with NO good air bags.

My Kenworth t680 doesn't have a dump switch in the cab.How can I tell if it has a solenoid and other parts for a dump switch or could it be it came from the factory with no components.

It just controls it self with the leveling valve It puts air in if the rear suspension drops

Isn't it easier to put the 2 bolts on top first, then lower, and put the stud last?

Well the truck will be too high so you'd have to hold the bag up while trying to get the bolts in. Better to do the bottom first then lower the truck onto the top.

+Now What I wouldn’t replace them until they started leaking air. An ugly air bag may run for years before it goes to leaking. We fix things when they break but preventative maintenance is always a good thing but it’s hard to predict how long a bag will last. We have put brand new bags on and they leak from the factory.
