Can you remove the cylinder lock without the key? My son-in-law lost the key for his2007 Eclipse and didn't get an extra when he bought it used. Dealership wants 300 to cut and reprogram 1 key. Looks cheaper (about $225) to buy a new cylinder with keys and just do it outselves. Just want to make sure I can slide the cylinder out without have a key to put in and turn to the ACC position.

Just got mine in. It was a pain to get in. Coming out is easy though. But definitely took me about 10 minutes of finessing it for it to slide in.

I an 03 outlander and its failing to start and I just got the ignition starter switch is possibly the problem can you offer any suggestions? The car electric seems to work when the key is in and turn but the car will not start.

Look for a flashing green light after trying to start the vehicle by leaving your key in the ignition after it fails to start, this would indicate an immobilizer issue. Mine flashes 30 times after a no start.

What if you replace the ignition cylinder and the the ECU in the engine bay with a matching set, will you still need a locksmith?

Hi, I push the pin with an awl pick, and it won,t go in any way, I asume that the key cilynder is completed broken down, because the key itself won,t turn in any direction, do I an going to have to use a puller, do I ? May you can help me out ?

this is a older car , it does not need programming. as a result this type of cars were easy to steal. modern car needs programming and harder to steal

if u change the lock u change the key.....if u change the key the immobilizer will not work .....u just put the same lock for now but if we change lock we should put the same key,make it looks easy but is not .
