thanks to you I noticed that what happened when I pulled my old antenna apart the male plug came out - attached to the antenna still - so all I could see was the female slot - but when I saw on your vid that the male and female should stay united - I put the antenna in a vice and then turned it till it came loose from coupling - my goal was to put a shorty antenna (for car wash) and it came with lots of couplings but of course with the male plug still in the antenna - I couldn't figure it out = till I saw your vid = which I did watch all the way through and now know how to replace the whole cable - so thanks for taking the time to post - it helped me out - appreciate it TRQ.

So how did you access that fender area to pull cable out and reinstall the new? I'm not seeing that access you show on the video. I did get mine out, but it was a bear.
