It depends what racket it is. If its a high end model, they will be able to easily take more than 24lbs.

@@falsecatalyst3936 Ahhhh, some people use a soldering iron to turn them but you can string them immediately after fitting them as long as you cut them to the right length.

@@CKYew ahh ok thanks for the advice. I recently bought a 12 o clock grommet strip with 10 holes because i can't find any of the original 6 hole ones for my victor tk9900 now. Even e78 doesn't carry them anymore. So I was wondering if i could get away with using this strip. Thanks for clearing my suspicions and questions

Hi Ck, I currently have the yonex duora z strike. The 12 o'clock grommet strip is starting to wear off, and i can't find places that sell it. Do you have any suggestions on what to replaces it with and do you by any chance know somebody that sell it ?

That might be a hard fine. Try your local badminton store? You can always replace them with standard grommets though

My Astrox 100 zz makes some kind of sound near the t joint after I keep it during the practice Is that a sign of gromet deformities as there is no physical damage in the racquet!!

If you dont see any grommets broken then it should be an issue. I've found genuine Yonex racket, especially Japan made models to have rattles. Is yours a genuine one?

@@CKYew yes it's a genuine one Even I verified the product on the sunrise TNT website. Showed that my product was genuine and the only sound it makes is in the joint like as if something is inside the joint. Like a plastic wrapper sound. Anything you want to suggest??

Not sure if you can make one at home but if you’re pushed, you can use silicone tubing which can fit through your racket grommet hole. Cut it up to size and slide it in during stringing.

Hi Jonathan, same technique, sharp pliers and pull. It should come out pretty easily. If not, you can twist the grommet with a flat head screwdriver before pulling it. Good luck! 👍

There’s no perfect technique to measure tension after a racket is strung except tapping it against your hand or something else.
