Hi Peter, My toyota corolla 2003 vvti almost cuts out at idle when I touch the throttle, it idle's very low (600). there is fast puffing from the exhaust (I can hear the puffing from inside the car also) hesitating, loss of power when driving, it was vibrating pretty bad but this almost stopped after I changed the 'throttle position sensor' it's using a lot of petrol, the problem was very slight so i used injector cleaner in the petrol tank and this made the problem worse! I gave the car a full service but it did not make a difference, I did not look at the fuel filter yet, I ran out of petrol while driving about six weeks before this problem showed up I tried to start it a few times while out of petrol, the car drove fine for six week after this. sorry about the long message. thank you.

Peter Finn Thank you Peter, I put a brand new air flow censor into the car, it did not make a difference, I also replaced the throttle position censor.
