I just removed the front and back bumpers from my 93 Chevy that were pretzeled in a typical California hit and run. I beat them into reasonable shape but it took a couple of weeks of on and off work to do the job- and they still look dinged but serviceable. Once again, you either have time or money. Wish I'd seen this video beforehand-never would have thought you needed to remove the entire grill just to the bumper. Another genius Detroit auto engineer-they just draw them, they don't fix them.

On my Chevy 1996 350 C1500 there was a hidden 7mm screw behind the bottom amber colored marker light, you’ll need a 13mm to get those sheet metal nuts off the marker light’s plastic studs

What if the bumper mounts that attach to the frame horns are bent?

Mine is bent. Bumper it straight but passenger side bracket is bent back a little. I've tried to loosen up the 18mm bolt 4 each at the frame . Then tied a tow strap to the bent corner mount. Secured other end to an anchor on the floor. Then reversed the Suburban slowly back; to pull out the bumper. It didn't work completely. But it's not any worse. Next step is to try again / take off the grill and loosen bolts but have another car tug that corner straight. ➡️
