Can i leave the screws out? They have no business being there. It seals tight and locks in perfectly fine without them.

We would recommend reinstalling all OE bolts/screws whenever dealing with filter installations. But if it makes it easier to leave them off, this shouldn't impact the filter's ability to function properly.

FYI get any spray car scent that you like. Spray it on the cabin filter. Works like wonder and you car will smell like new.
