Thanks for this great tutorial. I started removing my battery yesterday & quit because I couldn't budge it to access the positive terminal. The 2 bolts that hold the plate that secures the battery are not visible from the back area. Your video told me what I was doing wrong & I was able to get the battery out today. Thanks!!

When I started changing mine I thought it was a dumb place to have the battery, but this is the first battery that I have every changed that was in such good shape and no corrosion. Also, this will definitely make it easier to wire other things inside my SUV like a CB radio or ham radio or whatever you want. You don't have to worry about running wire through the firewall or all the way under the car to the battery in the front. It does take a little longer though. The only problem I had was that my two small bolts that hold down the battery hold had a lot of rust so I had to soak with WD-40 and every a little lever (extra wrench) to get them off. Other than that it is really a breeze. Thanks for posting.

They take advantage of you, especially if you are female.

In my case my Durango Citadel had a leak in the lower & upper portion of the radiator and needed a replacement, I went to a nearby dealership and got a quote with an aftermarket Parts 2,600 + 550 labor + flush 100. A whoping total of $3,250 Canadian. The good thing, I got it replaced for a fraction of only $1,200.0 with OEM part - courtesy of my nephew's mechanic.

The wrong battery in a vehicle can cause all kinds of issues. Make sure that they gave you the the correct battery for your vehicle, I know the one we worked on was an AGM.Once that is installed it should start. If not I would check to make sure your security light isn't on.

We have an 18 durango GT. Will unplugging the aux battery be worth it? We never use the auto stop start feature and hate it. Is it necessary to replace the aux battery?
@TheAutoTeacher3 жыл бұрын
An aux battery can be connected to various things on your vehicle like the electrical system, GPS, PDC sensors, radio and stop start functionality so I wouldn’t recommend disconnecting it. I know some companies do offer an auto stop eliminator if you really dislike it that much.
