Thank you for explaining the "2.5 turns" line in the instructions. I ordered a replacement clock spring to install and was unclear about that line until watching your video. Keep up the good work with these informative videos!

Thanks so much! This was my first solo repair without my dad since I go to college in another city! I have a 1998 4Runner and the repair was identical! I now have use of the horn and cruise control again

I watched this video even though I have to perform the above operation on a 2011 Tacoma. This video is without doubt excellent, the best I have seen on the subject. The back ground noise sucks though.

I have a 1998 Toyota Avalon. I watched this video and it was 100% perfect, it took me about an hour to complete including gathering tools and cleaning up. The garage quoted $667.00 for parts and labor to replace, I saved $293 with the help of this video. Thank You!!

Gents, thanks for this excellent video. There were 1-2 things I forgot and your vid helped me remember. One pro tip I'd like to add is when removing the airbag/horn captive screws (2), if you press on the airbag/horn it'll align the screw and the hole in a more centered manner. This make it much easier to get those T30 screws out.

Great video. Just one note. You explained the 2. 5 rotation on the clock spring to reset it to the center position and that it assuming your front wheels are pointing straight forward. You'll need to make sure your wheels are pointing straight forward before you install the clock spring set at 2.5 rotation. Otherwise the clock spring may not be at the 2.5 rotation when you are driving straight.

I have a 96 Toyota Camry le .the air bag light on and car has no other dash lights come on and car will not turn over. I check the fuses.does any one think it can be clock thing or something else.did run perfect before .battery new 13.8 volts .need advice thanks for advice

terence switzer take it to a shop and have them read the codes. Or get a BlueDriver and connect it up yourself on your phone (or any OBD2 reader) With no error code it’s a little harder to find the exact culprit.

I accidentally ripped the wires from the electrical connector. The clock spring is fine, but its the electrical connector that goes to it that is useless. Do I simply need to buy a new one and attach the wires to it?

Can you tell me why some Clock Springs on Amazon are only $20 and Autozone has them for $300. Im confused.
@1AAuto5 жыл бұрын
+Julie Kay We wouldn't have any info about parts other retailers are carrying. The parts we carry are guaranteed to fit and function on the vehicles they are listed for. Thanks! 1AAuto.com

1A Auto Parts So you don’t know how much a Clock Spring should cost or an opinion on why Amazon’s are so cheap.
