Its a perfect match for my 2003 MDX. The bolt for the outer bushing was harder to remove but turned out the bolt was squeezed when the control arm is without wheels. Its better to loosen it up before jacking up the car. It may be best to replace with a new bolt on this one. It was a first time experience for a DIY like me, and wouldnt hv done it without this video. Thanks 1A

If you do not load the suspension and then tighten down the bolts, they will try and retain the same uncompressed position with the load and wear out quicker.

Great video - I used it to replace both of mine. Really important that the control arm is put back as shown (rear - insert bolt to hold then front). Also - for me the tire iron is a 19mm which can be used to break the bolts loose. Thanks for posting.

There are actually several different things that can cause a rattling in the front end. You will want to bring the vehicle into a local shop and they can assist you in getting everything checked over and diagnosed.

Most of the time its the sway bar here in nys we just cut those off saves $ on link pins

Use a breaker bar to break the nuts, not a ratchet with a cheater! Those Round Head Fine Tooth Craftsman ratchets are the best ratchets that Craftsman ever made, and they not being made anymore! Being fine tooth, they are not made to stand up to that kind of abuse. As a rule of thumb, never use a ratchet to break a nut, especially in a high torque situation, always use a breaker bar, that is what they are for. Follow up with a ratchet to finish the job.

They mention: to remove the extra tension so that the torque is correct. Imagine tightening a bolt on a rod that is being stretched vs the one that is not.

Some videos suggest to remove the outer tie rod ball joint before removing control arm. Is that necessary? I see that your video does not say so.

I’m getting a shake at 70 and up. Tires are balanced and has new tie rods and alignment. My bushings are dry rotted do you think this is the culprit?
