Overall, this is a very detailed and helpful video. I have a 2013 Escape 2.0, and one thing I haven't done yet is replace the coolant temp sensor. Not only does this video show the process step by step, but calling out which socket sizes and other tools are needed really helps too. One tip I've learned on my Escape is that if you disconnect the front panel from the battery box before removing the battery, getting the battery out is a lot easier. This is because you can slide it further forward to get a better grip on it, and you don't have to lift it as high to clear the box.

I’m very confused why you would have to take that all those top parts off just to take the sensor out underneath? It seems like a lot of extra work when you’re not even doing anything up top. Or am I missing something?

Hi, thanks for your videos by the way. Ok I replaced the over heat sensor like you here on this video in my 2018 ford escape and it's still not running right and then shuts off and that over heating message on the guages comes back on again. I did notice one of the two wires on theback of the connector was off so I pushed it back in and I connected it back to the sensor. What do I do next? Do you think the problem is with the connector? I need some help.

How about in 2008 ford escape? I'm really desperate to find it's location.

Hi, thank you for this super informative video! I'm having an issue with my 2013 Ford Escape where the car basically shuts down because it's getting a faulty signal that the engine is overheating when it's not. Ive been informed this problem is associated with the coolant sensor. The dealership advises that i get the level sensor pipe replaced (which is a very expensive part) but now im wondering if it's just the sensor, which i assume is attached to the level sensor pipe, that needs replacing. What are your thougts?
