You forgot to mention that after adding antifreeze at the end....should start the car without the radiator cap to allow any air to go out of system.

An important tip: if you change your top hose when doing a thermostat, or for any reason really, be sure to see if the new hose didn’t come too long. It’s not uncommon for replacement radiator hoses to be too long and while they fit they end up too tall. Then you’ll end up with a big old air bubble at the peak of the top hose that prevents coolant flow. Don’t be surprised if you gotta trim one end or the other, or both, to lower the top hose height and not allow that air bubble of death at the top hose’s high point. I’ve seen people replace damn near their entire cooling system and repeatedly burp the system and still have overheating cars/trucks, just because of this issue.

Hello, please. I have a question, my diesel engine 2.0 140kw dfha takes pretty long to warm up, in city traffic its very long, sometimes it drops from 70 to 50 when im waiting on trafiic lights, but after drive for around 15 minutes it reaches 90 degrees, than it stays normally there. is it a problem? Thanks

My 2sz belta is over but I have changed water pump, temperature sensor, radiator cup, thermostat and gascket. So what could be the problem?

Thanks very much for teaching me why we should use thermostat but Africa they said because the climate change so we remove it from the engine how true is it
@MakeItEasyMechanic2 ай бұрын
It's not a good idea to remove the thermostat from the engine, even in hot climates - the thermostat is an important part of the cooling system and helps regulate the engine temperature, which is important for the overall engine efficiency.

In south Florida I always ran my Disco 2 without a thermostat. They notoriously ran hot and doing so kept it at perfect operating temp.

That's false information if it's the thermostat you also can see the bloody radiator not circulating and it's not the water pump because you'll hear a squealing sound like the serpentine belt or you could j you can check that pulley to see if it's loose but the thermostat is responsible for circulating the water just like the water pump but more importantly and just look at your radiator the water is not circulating it's the thermostat and this guy should say never ever ever ever ever never put coolant in your engine the radiator rather when it's not on yeah you could do it when it's cold a little bit but I don't recommend it and how will you be able to see if the coolant is moving hence blaming the thermostat

My Nissan frontier xe is running too cool it misses and sets off the codes the thermo from wally world said it was OEM but it's not running and neither is my air was it supposed to come with a gasket that goes around the edge like my original it's an aisin and supposed to be right never had this happen in all the hundreds of ones I did I'm stuck ,it takes 10+ mins.to warm up and is getting terrible mileage
@MechanicalGuy6811 күн бұрын
If your Nissan Frontier XE is running too cool and taking over 10 minutes to warm up, it’s likely due to an improper thermostat. The replacement thermostat should match the OEM specifications, including the gasket for a proper seal. A missing or incorrect gasket can lead to coolant bypassing the thermostat, preventing the engine from reaching optimal temperature. Verify the part’s compatibility and consider replacing it with a genuine OEM thermostat to resolve the issue. You can subscribe to the channel, or leave questions on the "Mechanical Guy" channel. @MechanicalGuy68 I know that if you read the thread it stated that aisin OEM was used, Walmart s part people said it was a perfect fit it was not I've been a mechanic for 35 yrs exception to the rule I took for granted it was the correct temp thermo and there was no temp rating marks on the unit even inside the body of the valve assembly,that's what I get for being gullable.this motor parameters in the ecm are 192 f which I think is too high for oil and internal parts preservation.thx

@ShawnFleming-uk5vl 😂😂 if you've been a mechanic for 35 years like you say. Then you should know what is going on. And also Not getting your parts from Walmart !! 😂 . I think you are full of shit and don't know what you are talking about.
