This video shows you how to install a new crankshaft position sensor on your 2003-2008 Toyota Corolla. The crankshaft position sensor is an important component of any electronically controlled ignition system. The sensor provides the computer with data about the position of the crank shaft to properly adjust ignition timing. If the sensor in your vehicle is broken or malfunctioning, you may suffer poor performance, or get a check engine light.

after having a new key issues after losing for my corolla 2005 1.6, the guy reprogrammed immobilizer to accept new key. Put the key in you get the red security light go out but only cracks wont turn over. Code reader only one code B2799 immobilizer malfunction. Could somehow the crankshaft sensor have failed? I don't know what else could be the problem

I just did this job 10times easier by removing the alternator save yourself the headache spend the extra 10 mins to remove the alternator then a easy job
