Same here got 4 red lights, took all the cables apart again and made sure they were pushed in firmly, on switching on the light was normal white and the fan came on but no projection at all. 😢

Tried this and it failed for me unfortunately. No projection with red light flashing 4 times. Reconnected all the cables again and that had no red lights, fan came on but no projection. So guess the lamp has a short circuit. 😢

UPDATE: I did get this to work, I had one of the ribbon cables inserted the wrong way. My Hisense projector is the 88” version, for anyone interested if this helps the chip is a Texas Instruments DLP470TPAFQN. I found it difficult to locate this exact chip but was advised that a 228-0 1910-50BBM is the same chip. Installed and working fine. You have to make sure your ribbon cables are installed correctly if you get red flashing light on the front or no projection at all.

I’m using the same model but right now i’m having trouble casting youtube via my iPhone, it used to working well before. And sometime i can’t use the remote to interact with the KZbin app, I have to change to Netflix and back to KZbin again. Any suggestions for this two issue? Thank you so much 🙏

Pat, great video! Our Hisense L9G 120 inch projector is now 27 months old and gets about 8 hours of use daily. It just produced its first stuck pixel. Maybe Hisense will help us and fix this, otherwise, do you advise to wait for more pixels to get stuck before chip replacement? Also, where do we find out the part number and buy a replacement chip in the USA?

Maybe worth waiting, unless the pixels bother you a lot. eBay will be your best bet for the chip parts, the way to find it is to look for via your projectors model number, this should be enough via google.

Pat, I commented 1 month ago when I first had a bad pixel and found this video. In the last couple of days, a second pixel has stuck white. I went on the USA Hisense website and they now are listing as available a DMD chip as: Hisense 303302 for many projectors including our 120L9G. US dollar price is a little over $700 and availability in about 20 days. they also list availability of an extended warranty for 2 years for $600. But I cannot find out the exact warranty terms and if this includes replacing a DMD due to 2 stuck pixels. Anyways, is it possible using this Hisense part number to find out if there is another part number like from Texas Instruments?

Yes that would be the best way, the chip I got here was less than $150 USD off eBay, it was however second hand. But if it lasts 2 years I can then replace it again 5 times before paying Hisense directly.

i had a vava chroma TI dmd chip go bad in 2 years. it happens. i did leave it on all the time and often fall asleep with it on. i notice it used thermal padding instead of thermal paste. i might try paste this time around. just swapped the dmd
