Great video it has helped me out a lot I do have one question if you can help me I have a 2012 Chrysler 202.4 I have changed the idler pulley top and bottom and the tensioner pretty simple job except when I Start the car my belt moves towards the Passenger wheel It moves off of the alternator and the bottom pulley so my question would be do I need to add some kind of spacer on that bottom pulley so maybe it's too far in and that's why it's walking out a little bit If you can please help

My tensioner pulley doesn’t give any pressure for leverage on putting the belt back, could a crowbar work?

This video was looking very helpful until I realized that this is for the 2.4 engine, not my 3.6 engine. It would be nice if you'd put that in the description. The tensioner pulley is very different, on the 3.6 there's no need for the allen key.

Is it the same process for a 3.6?

That's bloody ridiculous to have to remove all of those shields, etc., to replace such a common maintenance item. I definitely see why it's wise to replace all of the idlers and tensioners when you replace the belt. You have the right temperament to work on such vehicles that were put together by imbeciles. I'd be apoplectic removing all of that stuff to do what should be a relatively simple job. Thanks for the video showing me why I won't do that job on my friend's C200. No how, no way. That's going to her indy, where they'll charge 2-3 hours labor and use all of it. Geez. BTW, did you disconnect the battery to disable the airbag? I don't see any other reason when there's nothing "shortable" on the belt side.

Chrysler is just like that. You have to take the bumper off, 3 shields and the horn just to replace the headlight

You can do all this without removing any fenders/bumpers/covers. Just a bit of a squeeze but it can all be done from under the hood on top

You can replace the bulbs in -5mins by turning in the wheel. Take off only the first wheel cover and you can reach the bulb from there. Replaced both of mine in less than 10min tbh Could of been much faster if I took an extra min taking the wheels off for more space, but just turning the wheel in was enough for me.

An engineer from factory should be made to do this job in 1 hour if not you're fired!

A job like this(idler Pulley) is where you want to grab an engineer by the back of neck and say here fucker you do it! Besides it should never go bad anyways. Junk quality! Run a test the one that fails first is OEM!
