winimow The new motors have a connector to the circuit board which negated the need to solder, and made the motor replacement effortless!

Great video! Question' I just received a Propel Max 15 and during testing (literally after a total of 3 mins in flight on multiple tries) the drone backed up unexpectedly and hit the corner of the wall and the prop got stuck in the guard. When I went to pick it up it had a smell I knew and smelled like the motor. After resetting the remote that prop refused to spin. Seriously... a burnt motor in 4 secs?! Is this the actual problem? There is no way a motor could burn up just being caught in the guard for such a short amount of time could it... seriously??

After about two weeks thrashing the X5c-1 around mostly indoors the motor to RH side of the small on/off switch quit. Okay, I had a set of four standing by as I knew these were like oil filters - need replacing as a matter of course. After maybe a day, maybe two - motor #2 quit - only it was that selfsame position AGAIN. Fair enough, maybe the replacement wasn't excellent - fitted the last spare I currently have. That one lasted a day. Three motors all quit in the same motor position. Now looking to replace the circuit board in case there's an imbalance causing these delicate little things to fail! Soon it'll be like the old lumberjack's faithful old axe - "three new heads and four new shafts but she's still a fine old axe" :) Only - I'm not smiling that convincingly about this.....

you should line wires up side to side to solder.however those motors are meant to be soldered to the board...

You mentioned to make sure that the wires match for the motors being replaced but why? You said that they are different motors. Does that mean one motor spins the propeller one way and a different motor to spin the opposite way? I'm guessing because I tried to patch a motor in that didn't correspond with the same wires and my drone won't fly. All the motors work but it looks like too many are spinning in the same direction. Is this correct?

Hi! Thank you for your comment! The color of the wire identifies which direction the motor turns. So the red and the black are different direction. They can't really be used interchangeably.

I got 1 of the motor broken, not functioning cuz it crashed to a Wall. Fixing it might be a Solution. But still, is there any other Way of Getting Rid of it? (Not Trash Can). Maybe like a Tri-Copter? 😂

mine had the same problem after opening it up immediately I spotted the problem one white cable fro M3+ was loose I welded that chomp right on and I was good to go. be careful not to mix the propellers I got a little confuse by those guys till I found a solution on one of the videos.

I appreciate your help on 'teaching' on how to repair drones. Although my drone is a very different model, at least this gave me an idea on where to start with my Snaptain AH15H drone. After crashing into a vine of grapes(ha ha ha) it does the same thing now on the back left propeller. I appreciate you taking the time to help others out. open your drone, see which colour wires are conected to it(blue and white/red and yellow) which ever one it is buy a replacement and change it like he did in the video. Even 2 of my motors were slow, changed them and now my drone flies like new. like if this helped
