Ahhhh nice... & some rockin' Blues harp to boot..Ohhhh I spoke too soon 🤣You didn't wanna try to lead-wipe that C pillar join? Cheese grater,, we call it a speed file or a Surform file. Guide coat dry,, i always used to get the cartriges from photo copy machines,, when the black cartridge was empty & replaced where i worked they'd toss it in the bin, but there was always heaps left in there.. I'd take it home to my shop & drop it in my guide coat tin. It had a round dense soft sponge under the lid.. you shake it up til the powder from the ink cartridge would lay on the sponge then just wipe it over the repair.. real easy to use & refilling it was free👍😁 great work Rob.. You fill me with confidence hehehe

Oh man that’s a great idea with the toner cartridge!! Yeah I’ve never used lead. May give it a go in the future.

Awesome job one thing I would like to share is the filler dust I started using my shop vac to get the dust up instead of blowing or sweeping the dust I love it you might to I just take the vac apart and blow off with my battery powered blower 🙂

I actually started using my shop vac shortly after this. I was tired of my shop being destroyed by sanding dust 😂
@gibsonexplorer8777 Жыл бұрын
@RD Speed & Fab me too I can't stand that dust all over the place I sometimes don't even use my air compressor for weeks when doing body work I just use the vac and the blower open all the doors in my shop and turn on Mt exhaust fans

Hi Mate, you have to put lead in between the roofing and quarter panels

No sir. That’s certainly how they did it in the 1970’s but technology is a wonderful thing. New fillers are just as tough and won’t shrink.

Extensions are off from the factory. Don't fit right from the get go.

Nah lol. Panel is all welded back in, never pulled the seat out. I had to remove the sail panel and side interior piece but that’s it.

Just picked up a grabber orange mach with a shaker hood. Been in a garage in Minnesota since 83. Got it for 7 grand

@@Steven-mj5mo that’s a steal! Does it need sheet metal?
@Steven-mj5mo2 жыл бұрын
@@rdspeedfab basically just the floor pan and 1/4's. From setting. Otherwise solid and original. Sometime painted brown metallic over the factory orange

@@Steven-mj5mo that’s great! Make a video on the car. I’d love to see it.
