Totally off subject, but have you heard anything about article 13? The European parliament is trying to pass a law saying that if a person give his/her opinion on a product, and it's from European they can sue you. Hopefully KZbin is behind its content creators. If not it gonna change everything.

I'll be damn. I was an ASE certified technician for 12 years. I worked at two new car dealerships, and a handful of quick service shops. You are the first person I have ever seen, in 35 years, remove an E clip with snap ring pliers. Never too old to learn something.

FYI, those clips are called E-clips. The ones you showed in the end of the video in the plastic case are snap rings. I've never tried to use snap ring pliers on an E-clip. Good to know they work out well. Not sure if you know this but the rear pegs on softails use a detent ball and spring now. When you remove them make sure you bring the stainless piece with the peg or your detent ball is going airborne.

I just looked at the bassani exhaust video and the pegs and bar grips had been installed. Blockhead has just released the videos in the wrong order. He should have released the bar grips video first, then the pegs video and lastly the bassani exhaust install and sound video last. Not sure why the delayed releases though...

These were before the exhaust. These pegs were already on when he did the exhaust videos.

Block not trying to be a dick but the retaining rings on your bike for the pegs is called an E clip. There can be removed with a screw driver. The main thing is that E clips are not meant to be reused. When they are removed they lose holding tension. The other rings you showed were snap rings. Hope this comment does not offend I know your just a guy in your garage but hey us guys still like to be right. Keep wrenching.

Im 75% sure most of the time he's wearing his helmet with the GoPro mounted if he's not holding the camera lol I don't think Block wants to use a tripod since he won't reveal his face
@BlockheadMoto5 жыл бұрын
Most of the vid it was held in one hand, some of the time it was on a tripod. Why? B/c sometimes a tripod isn't best for getting angles the best that allow the viewer to see what's actually happening.

Really ? A whole video on changing pegs, whats next a video on filling up with petrol? Jesus dude, I know your trying to make a living out of this but don't take the piss, plenty of other guys out there doing it. ;)
@BlockheadMoto5 жыл бұрын
Think about it like this: Some people out there weren't born with mechanical abilities. For example in this video, I use snap ring pliers. I didn't know what snap ring pliers were before working on bikes, and I'm sure many others out there don't know either. There's been 'plenty of other guys' out there doing a lot of what I do, and since before I started doing it. Yet many of my "How To" videos rank highly, lots of people use and prefer them because of how thorough they are, and I get constant positive feedback saying they have helped and given many people the confidence to do these modifications themselves, rather than paying a dealership to do them. That's a win in my book, so I'm gonna continue to do what I do, despite what others do or don't approve of. Tbh, I couldn't care less. Don't need the help? Easy solution: Don't watch it, and don't comment. For some reason, this solution seems difficult for people to understand, and a *very* hard task for many people to actually do these days. Suppose that's the society we've shaped up for ourselves giving out 'participation awards' and parents coddling children, telling them their opinions matter. Harsh reality? Most of the time, it doesn't. Ride safe! ✌
@crewgadjy5 жыл бұрын
@@BlockheadMoto I do like watching you, but this episode was taking the piss. A thirty second segment in a video covering other things yes but a whole a hole video? As for the circlip pliers you don't need em, you can get away with a flat blade screw driver. ;). Anyway keep up the ( mostly ) good work.
