Thanks so much. After watching the video I decided to take this on myself with my front brake pads and rotors. I haven't done any real maintenance on a car since I bought this Highlander new. I don't believe i had the right threading on the bolt for removal, but is was close. Since the rotor (and bolt) was heading for the trash anyway, no worries. Easy peasy. Not bad for a 63 yo. Hi jim. Are there any steadfast rules for the location of the slide pin with the rubber bushing on it. Top or bottom location?

If you were to replace the parking shoe breaks in the rear, how do you get the set spring closer to the rear to not contact the back side of the hub bolts? Ive tried rotating it and moving things around and there is still contact when the wheel spins. Similar to an old distributor.

Great video. I also have a 2013 Highlander Limited. 84k miles. Was thinking of going with Centric coated rotors and Ackebono Ceramic pads (instead of semi-metallic). Would like to hear your opinion on this. Thank you!

do not... OEM works best.. at around 65K I tried the brembo P83126N then I had to switch back to oem because the rear breaks were wearing faster than the fronts.

Just came across this video. Jim, you used brake cleaner to clean the shipping oil from the rotors, but I didn't see any being used on the pads, e-brake shoes or rotors before you installed them. I did see numerous dirt/grease smudges from your gloves on both the pads and rotors while they were being assembled. Brake cleaner should be used on all friction surfaces before assembly.

How did you remove the 2 bolts that hold the caliper bracket they are so stuck i couldn't even fit a breaker bar there is no room for a long enough breaker bar
