Need to use antisieze on the rotor and bolts to prevent rust. Makes it easier to remove next time.

Do the brake lines need to bled after doing this? And also does the cap for the brake fluid reservoir need to open before clamping the caliper piston? I had a bad experience replacing brakes on a old Taurus, which resulted in the brake lines busting at certain spots. led to a more expensive job in the end so I'm hoping to avoid that.

+Sirius Son Thank you for checking us out. If you are replacing just the pads and rotors, it is not necessary to bleed the brake lines. It is recommended to remove the reservoir cap when clamping the piston. 1aauto.com

the slides on the brake caliper bracket on these type of brackets, are getting worn down, an causing the brakes to make noise when the brake pad slides in or out. remanufactured brackets are coming with those slides with grooves on them. so check the new slide on the new bracket if you replace it, to see if they filed down the slide or grinded out the grooves from old pads. are people replacing to get rid of noise but not checking to see if no grooves on the bracket slide? I am not sure about 1aauto parts. so 1aauto, do your brake caliper brackets, come free from grooves if they are remanufactured? in the video, you can see the groove marks 359. the wire brush will not take out the grooves, the pads are riding on . if you grease them it will work for awhile but then start making noise again. If i was 1aauto, i would check all brake slides being sold to check to see if the suppliers are taking the grooves out of these remanufactured brackets on these cars an any other. I would demand suppliers, to take out the grooves, if it is happening, before selling to customers. An thanks for the videos.

I was to understand that the Caliper bracket to knuckle bolts are to be replaced when removed,...at least red loctite on them if reused,..but as a rule replace with new bolts !!! Axle nut replaced also !!!
