I appreciate the level of detail. Saved me some time looking up torque specs and socket sizes. Thanks!

Nice video really helped! 😊 I must say everything is 10 times easier when you have a car lift. Doing the same thing out in snow or mud on your knees is another story.

Could I use the old brake pad and a C clamp to push back the caliber piston? Thank you for any feedback.
@andrewsunderman2593 жыл бұрын
Not on the rear. A C clamp will work on the front but I just found out the hard way that you need to use a proper caliper compressor on the rears because they need to be spun while they're being compressed. Auto zone will lend you one for free

Another important thing you forgot to do, Never hang the calipers by the brake hose. This can cause internal damage to the pipe.

Anyone know of a socket option instead of the e30?

Both brake pads have three ear clips but are different. I wish you would have shown the difference and a better view of the one that goes in the caliper boot side.

I heard from ChrisFix you should be careful spraying brake cleaner on any rubber because it will dry the rubber out.

Always start with the small 5mm allan head screw. Much easier

Dear America, bleeding brakes on a normal brake job is about as useful as disconnecting the negative battery terminal during an oil change. Sincerely, ASE technicians everywhere.

One important thing you forgot to do. You forgot to put copper grease on the backs of the brake pads on the shims. Everything else was spot on apart from that one important thing you made a mistake on

Unbelievable 1.why use torque wrench 2.your gloves has grease when she puts break pad after clean break rotor 3. if you hit too much outside spring it will be broken... 4.Do not hang the calipers by the brake hose :(
