Yup...exactly the way it should be done. The cleaning of all parts, adding of anti-seize, etc.. is exactly what should be done.

Thanks for explaining install of wear indicator, as I forgot how it needed to be oriented. 👍🙏👍

TRQ I noticed at the end of the video that the caliper assembly was brand new. It appears that this particular Corolla was being used to film the replacement of the front suspension as well as the calipers, rotors and pads. IS there a video available showing how to replace the entire caliper assembly which would require bleeding the brake fluid reservoir.

What if you don’t have all those fancy tools? You still gotta do that piston and such? Is it necessary and will it cause a lot of problems?

Okay. Just make sure you buy a torque wrench. I replaced them and one of the bolts that needed to be at 79ft-lb (5:38) fell and now I'm buying the torque wrench.

Don't forget Loctite on the caliper bracket bolts and the caliper bolts when reassembling. Blue works just fine.

Be sure to use silicone grease on slider pins, not other kinds to avoid swelling of rubber.

Now I know that this sound is from the wear indicator telling me that brake pads need to be replaced

What if you don’t have a torque tool do you just tighten it with what feels right? Also do all pads come with the wear indicator if not do you recommend getting one is it essential or optional ? Thanks!

What brand of torque wrench is that that you used at the end and is it worth it?

Why did you not flush or purge the brake lines when finished?

Wear a mask when wire-wheeling anything, as it can injure your lungs. I did not and now paying dearly for it with Irreversible Interstitial Lund Desease.

As far as the Caliper pins, I use a gun cleaning brush and rod with patches to clean out the old grease and then re-grease the pins.

This job seems simple enough: except when the rotors won't come off.. or some bolt is rusted and it's been rounded.. In theory it can be very easy.. in practice a lot can go wrong..

Question. Do you have to purge the system by removing the brake line nut, pump the brake padel and open and close the port. Is that something that needs to be done after replacing the brake pads and rotors?
