Just did this task with TRQ parts. Without this video I would have been stranded in this process. One question kept coming to mind, why make something so difficult? These engineers are insane.

Do you have to replace the rotors every time with the pads or can you just replace the pads is it necessary to do all this to replace just the pads ?

All that fucken work to pull a rotor off what a stupid design
@jamesbondero6170 Жыл бұрын
Yes, it is a stupid, unnecessary design but, I have only had to replace the front brakes twice on my Colorado that has 140,000 miles on it. Now, the 2004 S10 I had, needed new brakes every year! Or so it seemed. The rear disc brakes on the S10 were a poor design and corroded very easily! The fact that the Colorado had drum brakes on the rear sold me on the truck! Been the best truck I've ever owned!

Captive rotors! Why did GM use captive rotors? Major PIA!

Doing brakes on my 2012 4x4 noticed your bleeder is on the top instead of the bottom. Is that another subtle difference between the models?

How did those bolts come out so easy? You need to dip that thing in PB Blaster

I just tighten the heck out of everything until i know its tight without breaking or stripping anything, therefore i know im safe behind the wheel.

I needed a short 21 mm socket to do the brakes so I rolled to harbor freight and most socket sets skip the 21 mm. What’s up with that???

Back pressure can damage some sensitive systems. Not always necessary but always best practice.
