This video saved me. I forgot how the hardware was oriented. Thank you for doing a close up. I would suggest doing that for other videos if you haven’t already

I am about to do this later today for the first time, and this video helped a lot. On a side note, had I gotten my brakes and rotors at 1aauto I would have saved $20. Great marketing idea!

did this today, vid really helped thanks, i had to use a 10' pair of channel locks to reset the piston so that will work too, to anyone who doesn't have a c clamp handy.

I have always used c clamps with the coarse thread screw but actually I found a trigger clamp used for wood working is much faster. Also, the have rubber "jaws" which should minimize the risk of damaging the pistons boot

It may be a similar process.

@ndchevy Yes they came out easily, What is in the film was my first attempt. Those bolts should not be tightened up more than 20 ft lbs of torque.

The basic procedure is the same whether the car has ABS or not. The only difference is that different brake pads are used. So stated another way, if you car has ABS this video applies but there is a difference when removing and replacing the brake pads.

@rogersvids Yes, Generally rear brake pads are different than front.

The video ended before the job was complete? Thanks for all the help btw. I'm going to be buying all my parts from you from now on. A buddy said i need a tool to "collapse the calipers". Is this true/necessary? Thanks for all you assistance.

Why wasn't the parking brake set prior to torquing? Other than that, BADASS! Thanks! (I'll assume the brake wasn't set due to something I didn't see in this video.)

One may put some silicon paste on those boots if they are not moving freely.

I wish you could have done a close up on the piston reset. I couldn't see what that's all about.

Can this same procedure be done on a 2002 Chrysler Concorde Lxi model?

Thanks for watching, you can collapse the calipers as we show in the video. The only time that you "might" need a tool to collapse them is , on the rear disk bakes of some vehicles you need to turn the caliper in from the back of the caliper. this isn't all applications, but some do require a special tool that fits into the holes to turn them in. Otherwise, follow this video and you should be fine. Have a great day! 1aauto.com
