Pro tip: If you undo the outer tie rod from the spindle, then turn the steering wheel full lock, it pulls that rubber boot on the steering rack in just enough to get that bolt out without loosening the rack. It helps to use a bungee cord to hold the tie rod up and out of the way. I did this because my rack bolts wouldn't come loose.

I might have to replace mine on the passenger side. Been getting creaking when slowly coming to a stop when the cars weight shifts forward, but only when it’s warmer outside. Replaced shocks and coils and upper control arms.

Can the CA bolts be cut off after loosening and then reinstall new ones on the opposite direction so the long part of bolt is on the inside of CA? Just a thought. But the turning the rack n pinion methods sounds like a life saving idea. I noticed this is for all wheel drive. My front end LCA has different shock mounting base and sway bar link configuration. I will be doing this job today.

Can I use this for the dts model or should I look for where all the bolts would be normally?

Cant replace just the bushings??
@averyalexander23034 жыл бұрын
You can, I've done it many times. You just press the old ones out and press the new ones in, plenty of videos on KZbin showing how its done. The reason people often replace the whole control arms is because it's easier and quicker than rebuilding them and we live in a throw away society where many low cost and equally low quality Chinese parts are available.

@@averyalexander2303 I'm reselling my worn control arms but the one thing you did not say is the new bushings for this are almost as costly as the new control arms I've been told this is because those who race like the feel of the after market bushings and so they are considered racing bushings.
