I do believe it is recommended to put the weight of the car on the front suspension and then proceed to torque all the bushings replaced to the required torque spec in order to avoid premature wear on the bushings.

Liam Auigbelle That’s what I thought. I usually put a 4x4 block on the floor jack on the hat of the rotor and jack it up to where your almost lifting the vehicle then tighten.

yes you are correct, you must have the vehicle weight on the suspension before torquing down to correct specs. we do this to center the bushing to be at zero tension when the supsension is centered.

Yes, I did this on jack stands, so I put my floor jack under the rotor and lift it until the weight of the car was on the jack, then I torqued everything on. Still went to my local Firestone and they did an alignment, just to be safe

Bro your supposed torque the rubber bushings only after you preloaded the suspension 😮🥲 That would cause premature wear if not instant damage of the new bushing once you lower the vehicle and the full weight of the vehicle lands all the suspension and steering components where they are supposed to be with the wheels on and moving down the roads 🫠
