I’m by no means a mechanic. I can identify parts, and that’s about as far as it goes. My window on my 03 avalanche went down this afternoon and would not come back up. I found this video, got the part at Oreillys for $63, and replaced it just as shown in this video, over the last few hours. Thank you @TRQ! You saved me however much a mechanic would’ve charged me for it!

window is stuck in down position. It won't go back up when door is apart. Just need to change motor in 2005 Chevy Avalanche.

I had the same problem because my wire was shredded. Impossible for the brackets to move. You need to (if you can) just loosen the brass screws which clamp onto the glass. Then everything should slide out or down.

Lost me when you reconnected the window switch. I thought it didn't work. Or did you connect it to the new one to get it to go down.
