Excellent step by step video. If only all jobs were this clean. Thank you!

At least for 2014 models, the bottom end of the strut is held by a different (and much easier to work with) attachment method than the one shown in this video. Make sure you plug your exact year and model info into the A1 website rather than just ordering the product link in the video notes. That said, this was the most detailed video on the process I've seen. Very nice

Thanks for the Video! Some of these bolts were tough, especially the sway bar and others that got loose and spun. I used a vice grips to stop the spin, and had to heat the bolts with a torch to loosen them up enough to stop the vice grips from sliding. Wasn't easy, but with your video I was able to get it done.

Though it’s been quite awhile since I’ve changed shocks, I don’t t remember ever having to take all that a loose.

Rookie question: is there a reason why you don’t use anti-seize on the nuts and bolts before you reinstalled them? Thank you

are you supposed to loosen the middle bolt on the strut once its assembles?

I took a measurement of ride height prior to lifting my truck. It came out to 22.5. I installed the new strut and now have a measure of 23.5 is that an acceptible ride height?

Using a torque wrench after running the nut with an impact is kinda like putting on your selt belt after you crash...

You know, if there was ever something I wanted to come loose at 70 miles an hour, it would be my tires. Preferably all of them. That’s why I make sure to give all my wheel studs a heavy coat of anti-threadlocker just before I over-torque those suckers on.. smh

All of the nuts that were removed in the video are not reusable and need to be replaced after removing. The Hub/Spindle nut will definitely back itself out if not replaced, it’s only 30ft/lbs and requires the neoprene to hold it in place.

What kind of grease goes on the end of the CV upon reassembly? Mine did not have much, most got wiped on my shirt while fighting the control arm bolt. It looks like the needle bearings in the hub could use a little too.
