This job is doable with the window up. I was able to simply unmount the motor from the door to allow it to move. Then get a small rachet in between the door and motor to remove just the motor. Then I usde a drill bit to drill holes where the motor mounting screws were located. This made it super easy to mount the motor back on the window bracket assembly with it still inside the door. No need to get the window down or deal with removing all the hardware.

Good video but....how is possible to lower the window to access the bolts when the motor does not work and the window is in the upper position?

My problem is the window is all the way down and I can't roll it up to access the bolts 🤷

If anyone in the future has an issue with this particular problem I resolved mine by first having a replacement for the entire regulator + motor and then cutting the steel cable of the old regulator. This causes the platform the window sits on to drop down. But be careful as the window might drop down quickly so you should have it tapped in place before doing this.

Thank you very much for an informative and helpful video. The window on the passenger siden on my Honda CR-V does work some times, and some times not. How do I search to find if it is the motor or the switch or something else that is the problem? Do I have to disassemble everything as in the video?
