How to Replace Gaskets on Your Backwoods Smoker

I enjoyed meeting you Chase at 2012 Jack. I've been running the original gaskets in my Competitor and Chubby with a full competition schedule from day one. I have no idea why I would need to replace a gasket on either.

What is this gasket with the flat and round spot called? Where can I but this??? I need gasket for a smoker that I have.

It's called a tadpole gasket. The brand you want to buy is Lava Lock. You can get it online pretty easily.

You should update this video to mention that this method doesn't work on a little chubby 3400. It appears you have to buy a proprietary gasket or something. I just found that out the hard way and now I have a smoker that has a tadpole gasket glued in with high heat silicone. Hopefully it still works.
