@@ThoseCarDudes yeah, your videos are great! They are made of Teflon, I already took a look at the page. Have you already tried it? the lever you note firmer? without side horgons?

Hi Nathan. Another good video. Remove the output shaft flange, and apply sealant to the splines before you put it back on. If you don't, oil can leak out through the splines. Ask me how I know.

Thanks Dean, good to know! I never thought of that! Thanks for watching

Hi there, hope your are having a good day. I'm having an emergency with my E30 (1985, M10 318i). The gear box is leaking and all the oil came out of the gear box, I'm pretty sure that I need to replace the seal that you change at 10:13. The big question is, where did you bought the new seal? I'm having issues to find this because I live in Costa RIca (Central America) Thanks in advance for your help

There is a small round foam pad that goes in the end of the selector joint. It needs to be oiled. Your selector joint was completely missing this foam pad. This means your install to slide in the pin was easier, but your joint/pin wont be getting lubrication from the oiled pad. Maybe the foam pad reduces vibration transfer as well.

i know this video isnt super recent, although this year at least! THANK YOU for showing how to do the selector joint seal! this is what i was told was my biggest struggle for putting in my garagistic chassis mount shifter, and i wasnt sure what seal i needed, and how to really get it out efficiently, the screw technique seems to work to get room for a pick tool. thanks

That clip that holds the carrier to the gear box is otherwise known as the "bitch clip" due to the horrendous pain in the arse it is to remove when the gear box is in the car. ;) Nice tutorial! Right when you were hooking up that chain I thought to myself you might snap one of those mounts. Glad you got that fixed. Those Getrag and ZF manual boxes out of the 80's and 90's Bimmers are amazing and last forever. Looking forward to your engine update.... hopeful sooner than later! Cheers

That’s the one haha! Yeah haha it was a risk that didn’t pay off 😅 They are strong boxes for sure! Yes! We are really looking forward to putting those videos together, the motor is looking mean!! Thanks for watching man!

Hey mate, when you are referring to the crush washer at 7:00 are you meaning the locking plate that goes over the nut after it has been installed or is there supposed to be a washer you torque the nut down onto?
@throlyhd94484 ай бұрын
Fid you ever figure this out and if so do you have a part number? Realoem doesn't have it listed. I have the crush washer but the nut seems to be staying on top of it.

The ring @11:09 is not suppose to lay across the centre pin. The pin could easily slip out. Rotate it 90°
