I dont normally comment on videos but this is really well done. thanks. For reference I got away with not taking the cold air inlet side of the turbo off and came in from the top to undo the glow plug. Think you might get away without taking the cat shield off as well but not tried that. thanks again

I didn't remove half the items but the the dpf has to be taken of to get the right 2 glow plugs out and in as they are too long
@jamesthompson59264 жыл бұрын
Great video, this can be done with an 18pc Glow Plug Removal Socket Set PSG Thin Slotted, by only removing the heat shield ive done one today, and very happy I didn't have to remove the DPF, the sockets with the kit are small enough to get in and with the wobble end made it fairly easy.

I’ve got a vauxhall combo d van 2012-18 1.3 cdti and the replacement was even easier. I only had to remove the turbo charger cover. And was able to reach and undo all the plugs. I just bought a glow plug 9mm socket with flexible joint for £7 off ebay. It worked even better than a flexible joint and a socket.

just changed glow plugs on one of these .i had pressure plugs on 1 and 4 cylinders which are a bit bigger and are 12mm socket.i used a 9mm glow plug socket which has a uviversal joint on it and a rubber inner to hold the glowplug in place.removed the first pressure plug with a normal 12mm socket as easy to get at .glow plugs 2 and 3 i replaced only removing the top turbo heat shield and oil feed pipe .the glowplug socket makes it easy ,once the plug is out of the block just remove the extension and rachet then pull the socket with glowplug still conected out with long nose pliers.i had to drop the exhaust off for number 4 glowplug because i didnt have a 12mm glowplug socket ,but if all yours are the same without pressure plugs i reckon you can do all 4 by just removing the top heatshield and oil feed pipe.
@vertigo350d4 жыл бұрын

@guolizz7 жыл бұрын
slip1976 depends on your vehicle, on this one all glow plugs are the same, on some 1.3 cdti's 1/4 cyl they are different, not sure about part number, to find out which type of system you have check glow plugs connectors if they are all the same or two of them are different then the others

Hi, I also have the same problem with 2nd one. I changed all of them with A-N Parts ET.1 Germany, but the 2nd one broke down in 1 month. I only changed the 2nd one. So far so good. No problem.
