How to replace HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY (headlamp) on Hyundai Santa Fe 2013-2017

This is a fast-paced tutorial for replacing the headlight assembly (sometimes referred to as headlamp or housing) on a 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. The vehicle shown in this video is equipped with the optional HID headlights and auto leveling. Make sure you are aware of your lighting package before you order your parts!
To replace the headlight bulb itself you do not need to remove the complete assembly. But removing or replacing the HID ballast WILL require the removal of the complete assembly.
This can be a costly service at the dealership due to the labor involved in removing the front bumper cover (sometimes referred to as the front facia). You will need to replace the front bumper cover to replace a broken or bad fog light (fog lamp).

I always perform repairs according the factory service manual. You need to have all the information (toque specs, testing procedures and schematics) to insure you've pinpointed the actual problem and to insure your vehicle is safe after you've completed your repairs. I use an electric ratchet in this video instead of a standard ratchet. It is not required to use an electric or air ratchet for this repair but it definitely cuts down on repair time. Here is a link to an affordable electric ratchet - amzn.to/2GxwSvU

I don't have fog lights on my hyndai santa fe sport 2014 i only one set of wires to plug in, the new lamp i purchased has has two different areas to plug in electricaly this new headlight only dim l lights work at the top, the main lights will not go on what should i do ?

I have a 2018 Santa Fe and i wanted to put in better headlight bulbs....i tried to change them but i cant get my hands in back of bulb. So people have told me the bumper needed to come off a d i was hesitant to try.. Looks easy peesy.👍

You should be able to just do it from the under side without removing the bumper

2013 santa fe. (Stupid H11B bulbs that even O'Reilly didn't have in their catalog). The high/low gears appear to be out of sync so when I raise the low beam, the high beam is now pointing at the roof of that 2 story house...UGH. Is there a way to correct this issue? Also do you have a video on removing the H11B socket and rewiring to a H11?

Every car has manual adjustment screws on the headlight. If you looked at all you'll have seen up/down etc written in the black plastic. Funnily enough, they are for aiming each light... 🤦🏻

You do not have to remove the entire bumper just to replace the headlamp assembly. However this is still a great video for the front bumper removal and acess to the fog lamps.

We got the same car, i need to replace both foglamp assembly. The DRL on the driver side is busted.So i thought instead of replacing just one, i will replace both to have even brightness when installed.
