How to replace HP 4250 swing plate in 15 minutes! HP 4200, HP 4300, HP 4350

Thanks for the video. I've never been this deep into the 4250. This makes me more confident. We have 10 or so of these and just had one fail. I'm going to attempt to replace it with the brass gear upgrade soon.

They are really easy compared to the newer models honestly. I tell all my customers to keep these as long as print speed isn't an issue.

@@KenKyleRacing It took some convincing to get us here. When I started 10 years ago we had a couple 4300s and alot of 3015s. All of the 3015s were basically new but a total disaster... constantly breaking. I convinced them to start replacing them with 4200 series and 4300 series units when I could find them at a local tech recycler. Even used I hardly ever have to touch them.

Thanks! 15 minutes is if you turn the screwdriver like a maniac and don't stop from start to finish. We had a race at work once and both of us finished in just over 14 minutes. The other guy's printer didn't work tho, so it does pay to take your time. Lol!

easiest way to tell was the pile of grey dust on the left side of the printer when the fuser is out. I probably did 100s of these back in the day

Yep, was real fun the first year replacing them with the exact same design knowing you'd be replacing it again in a few months. Was very happy when they finally added the spacer.

HP 4250N after 1 page print then a message Paper Clearning Path appears then 41.3 unexpected paper size in tray 2 and I not able to print. I have tried many many times adjusting the tray and paper size but do not work. Any ideas or parts I need to replace?

Probably the tray 2 feed solenoid sticking. You can remove it and wipe the padding residue away on the base plate and the arm, just make sure you don't pull on the wires at all or the solenoid will stop working all together.
