Excellent video. Hardest part for me was getting to the 12 mm screw that holds the bracket in place. My extension reached, but I couldn't turn easily due to air filter housing. Extension needed to be a bit longer. Did have a very short spark when I put the negative cable back on, which is apparently normal. Note that I used an H6 battery even though the original was an H5. That is supposedly OK too.

I noticed you put an AC Delco in your 2018 Hyundai Elantra. I did the same exact thing as you just did in your video. But then I found out that type of battery is not really recommended for a 2018 Hyundai Elantra because it is not considered an H6 or even an H5. But I have yet to have anyone explain to me what the difference is between an H6 and an H5 compared to the ACDelco hgm. I also noticed that in most Parts manuals when describing the AC Delco battery from O'Reilly's it says that it is the minimum requirement that vehicle. However when you look at the listings for other batteries that are listed as H6 or H5 it does not give the warning label of minimum it will read as either standard or premium. And there's also a warning that the Hyundai Elantra has a heavy draw due to the electronics in the vehicle. Also noted is the time frame that the battery can sit without the engine running which is usually 120 Minutes or longer with an H6 or H5 battery however with the AC Delco battery it reads that the time the battery can sit without the engine running is only maximum 100 minutes I realize 20 minutes is not that long but I would imagine it could make all the difference in the world for someone that likes to listen to the radio or accidentally forgets to close the door all the way after the car has been turned off. However the biggest difference I noticed between the two types of batteries between H6 rated battery or a AGM battery is usually the cranking amps for instance the cold cranking amps of the battery that you just put in your vehicle is the same cranking amps that I put in mine because we use the same battery which is between 600 and 660 however the H6 battery is usually around 760 up to 800 so I'm wondering does this make a huge difference in the degradation of the battery. Hyundai dealership tells me that I should only be using their battery which is an H6 or H5 but H6 and H5 come in other battery manufacturers. Besides soltis which is Hyundai's company that they use And the only thing I can make sense of what they're saying is that the 2018 Hyundai Elantra takes a heavy draw therefore requiring an H6 or H5 battery. If you or any of your viewers can please explain why this is so important of a difference please feel free to respond. I just want to ensure that my eighty-year-old mother is safe and secure driving the car with the AC Delco AGM battery and she won't break down or go to pull in somewhere turn the car off and not be able to turn it back on. The battery comes with a 3-year warranty through ACDelco and O'Reilly's however even in the Elantras manual it says car requires an H6 or H5 battery so there must be some truth to the importance of the difference. I would highly appreciate anyone's help in this matter thank you sincerely.

I have a 2020 Elantra. The negative battery cable…like the pos cable has a cover or protector on it. The pos cable cover has a simple snap release clip but the neg cable cover is a total mystery. Do you have a video or helpful tip on removing that neg cable cover.

I got it from a local GMC dealership. Most car dealerships or auto parts store will be about to get it.
