@ivans3232 You may want to look at the linkage while someone turns the wheel to see what's moving before the wheels turn.

You may want to check the steering linkage under the truck to see if something has broke.

You could possibly rethread it, or if it's that bad, you may be able to get a decent one from your local salvage yard.

I am doing the pitman arm and idler arm on an eary 99 silverado 5.7 I have the steering box unbolted but can't find away to get it out of the vehicle any videos to help do this job

Just used this video to do process on 1991 GMC Sonoma (S-10/Jimmy/etc) Same basic but only two bolts on the bracket and haven't confirmed torque specs.

alright so i got a clunking/popping sound coming from my left front doesnt sound bad just really iratating and i want it fixed. it pops on rough road and when turning left i thought it was my hub had that replacednot that now i think its the tie rod but i got an alignment and the shop said those are fine but it stopped popping after the alignment then started the next day and then it lost the alignment after 2 days.

I tried installing the idler arm without removing the bracket and ended up stripping the bolt on the bracket...Do i need to replace the bracket or can it be retreaded?

Im redoing my tie rods, idler, pitman arms, and possibly ball joints(I bought your guys package). I was wondering if I can just turn the steering wheel to where I believe is level while to idler arm is removed? Also do I need to take out my steering.box when I do the pitman arm?

I have a 98 Chevrolet blazer LS I have replaced the idle arm Pitman arm inner outer tie rod's upper and lower ball joints and I'm still getting a knocking sound when driving

Do you need to get the car aligned after replacing just the idler arm?

You may have to if the car seems to pull to one side, or if the steering wheel isn't aligned properly.

My 01' 5.3 has a bad wobble, grinding squeal when turning. Popping when braking. Clunks when hit holes. Replaced wheel bearing/hub(left), both sway bars, upper lower ball joints (left), wheel bearing(right), front brakes, ujoints and all new shocks/struts. Continue to have problems. Any help anyone? Have my idler arm here and soon replaced.
