I don’t know why but I’ve always been intimidated by working in a vehicle with ignition coils. Today I changed mine out on my 2016 Silverado (cylinder 3 misfire caused by a bad coil or so I’m told) and this was too easy. Went ahead and changed the plugs and wires while I was at it and easily saved myself $200. This video is great, thanks for the confidence boost.

How did you get passenger side plastic cover off? Doing my wife’s Tahoe and the ac lines are in the way

Also I have the circular design ignition coil, does this change in which product I can buy? I see yals is a square version

I just installed the square ones on my 2016 Silverado today and everything went fine. The previous ones were more circular.

Could engine shaking be caused by a bad coil pack? Already replaced spark plugs and wires.

Is the ignition coil part # ICA64180 good for a 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3L ? I just ordered a whole set that came with spark plugs, coil packs, and ignition wires and it said it was an exact fit for my vehicle but it is not that red coil pack shown in this video here ^ it looks like it fits all the same I just wanted to be sure.
