How to Replace Install aChevrolet Hood Lift Support

I used these instructions this afternoon and everything went perfectly in probably under a minute. Thanks expecially for the tip on the upper clip not clicking immediately - that really could have thrown me. Connected that one first and then the lower one and then got the clip part way and then lowered the hood and the clip clicked into place.

I watched 3 videos on how to do this. Yours is the only one that said to do the top one first. The top one would not go on. I had to unhook the bottom one, and redo it. Thanks!!

I need your help! On my Golf these struts are making a noise while driving, because the round bolt wont fit into the socket properly. Is there a solution?

Watched 3 other hood lift support videos and it figures that Chevy would be the one having the most trouble to install, “having to lower the hood to get the clip to seat” . Having owned several chevy products, I can say, I’ll never buy another. Always trouble to work on and constant problems. Just bad engineering
