Jeremy I am having troubles finding the seals in my town and the link you posted is dead. My local motorcycle shop is the only shop that has honda mowers and they are useless bringing parts in for me. Even told me I can't get a new bag for my mower anymore. I know this isnt true because they stilll sell the mower lol. I really like the videos they are very informative and I took the time to answer some of your questions asked below I found through my research. I want to find the seals you use thanks

Question. I’d my right wheel isn’t spinning but my left wheel is, would that be just a bad wheel ratchet or something else?

Mowermedic, My mower is a 2013 model and doesn't have enough clearance to pour the hydrostatic fluid into the fill hole. The mower housing is in the way. Yours looks to have more clearance. Not sure what is wrong. Can I email you a photo to look at? I'd like your thoughts on this. Also, can you tell me where you got the spout you've got on that bottle of Hydrostatic fluid? That might help by I don't know where to get one.

i have a hrc hxa 216 and on my rear wheels all i have is a bearing on the wheel adjuster (inside it) and a metal ring on each side of that bearing i guess a washer but an odd one, and that collar. Why am i missing all the other parts you took off? did some of the honda's come like this from certain years? the rims for my wheels are metal and look very different than yours as well

Hey I'm not Jeremy but the older style metal rims hold onto those ratchets better than the newer nexite plastic rims and they have a nice rubber dust seal that covers the ratchets and attaches to the back of the rim. Your parts are there but still on the wheel.

hay Jeremy, I have a hrc216. No drive on transmission. Check the oil no oil. Bit is not completely dry but dipstick does not register any oil. Don't know have long it has been this way, bought the lawn mower 2nd hand. How likely is this the cause of no drive on the tyranny. How likely the tranny is toasted from the lack of oil. Also how much oil should you put in the tranny. The dipstick have a step. Do you add oil to the step or pass the step.

i have to honda comercial, but the transmission is no working, 1=broken arm the other one , i try to fix it i remove all the stuff from inside and i remove the other with the broken arm, the trans start working and a few seconds later stops the tires are not moving is like they got frozen i try to buy a new one but here in north california the trans is almost 400 bucks any advice? here they charge for nothing

I know this is an old video....but I have an HRC216 driving with mostly one wheel and not the other. Could that be fluid related, or is there a video im missing that might explain whats wrong. Need new transmission?

I know this os an old comment but maybe this will be helpful. It is most likely the Ratchet that set inside the rear wheels on both sides causing that to happen. You can take them out and clean them well and reinstall and should be god to go. Or buy some new ones for about 20 bucks a piece.

@@jeremycarter2875 thanks Jeremy. Not really sure what corrected it, but while using it, it corrected itself for the time being?? Strange huh. Im gonna have to replace the engine before too long though....shes starting to smoke at start up....uggg.

@@rbljackson That is a bit strange, but maybe some of that gunk got knocked off... saves you some trouble for now anyway! No fun buying a new motor but if most everything else is working well no sense spending money on a whole new mower.

how do you drain the oil?

The manual says to remove the tranny right out and then drain through the full hole. And there is a bleed screw with an o ring on it you remove and fill it up with honda HST oil put drill on the shaft input out speed lever to max, spin it direction the engine would spin it until bubbles stop coming out the bleed screw hole. Also says to discard the O ring and install new one and replace.. Install trans , then you want to do the second stage of bleeding put it on fast throttle and max speed hold the back end on wet grass or somewhere you can hold it against a wall with wet ground and let it soon while putting a load on it. Which to me seems awful for the tires. I guess some people drain oil and do what Jeremy did and put mower upside down and let it flow out that way. But you must be super careful to not get dirt into the fill port. I don't know if there is enough room to get at the bleed screw under the mower either.

You know what your doing but screwdriver is not proper tool to use to install a seal.
