Thanks for the video. Very helpful for a home mechanic to see…1. How straight forward the job is 2. That replacing the whole control arm, with attached bushings is the cost effective route. 👍🇺🇸

I did this in my garage on our 2016 forester in about an hour+ with jack and jack stands. I am a 68 yr old retired teacher. Thankfully KZbin videos prepared me and my cordless impact did all the hard work for me!

What are you supposed to do with the old control arms? Do any shops take discards?

Thank you for taking the time to take this repair video...will be doing this job soon. I had to laugh though as your ongoing narrative sounds exactly like me in the garage doing a repair; exactly what I'd be saying!

Not gonna take issue with your torque specs, only with torquing the forward bushing bolt before the wheel was back at ride height. Without that, you're driving around with a prematurely twisted bushing, right?

Has anyone got a link for a video on a MY19 Forester? Cheers

So, let me guess, this was a 20 minute video for a mechanic to do in a shop. For me as a shade tree type person it should take all day due to having to hunt down parts, tools, wash crud out of my eyes, etc?

Would I have any twerking anyting if I'm doing it on the ground with Jack stands? I have very little mechanical experience but I'm trying to save money because tire kingdoms trying to charge me $1,000 to do this.
