This video shows you how to replace the rear trailing arm bushing on your 1997-2001 Honda CR-V. Rear trailing arm bushings cushion the movement of the suspension and hold the wheel in the correct position. Clunking sounds or a shimmying feeling while driving can indicate that your rear trailing arm bushings require replacement.

Awesome! Gonna bite the bullet and buy the tool for $90. I have watched so many other videos with people hammering and banging and trying to get it to work. For removal, it seems that a quick cut with the sawzall through the bushing is the primary method.

Getting the old one out was easy. Putting the new one in, may be more difficult than you can expect. BTW, I took a sawzall, and I sliced the outer ring (after removing the center hunk and cross bar), until the ring was weakened in it's press fit arm. I was very careful NOT to cut into the trailing arm. The ring popped right out.

Me and my father moulded our own polyurethane bushings and didnt have to unbolt a single rusty bolt

Yeah try doing this on a Midwest vehicle where everything is rusted to shit from road salt and all bolts need to be torched to break free and some still snap off then you spend hours drilling out broken bolts. Fuk this, I'll get a new car.
