Thank you for this Information! So where would place a oil temperature sensor in this engine? its possible next to the oil pressure sensor on the left side in the plug or in the oilfilterhousing in the grub screw wheres the oil flow from oilpump to the oilfilter? thank you for your recommendation

i need to do this on my van, to be on the safe side, replace the sensor at the next oil change after draining the oil

Do you have to drain the oil to replace the sensor?? I mean I would assume all the oil is sitting in the oil pan, so it shouldn't be a problem?

You don't have to use threadlock on an oil pressure sensor. The threaded part has a conical shape, and it seals due to that. They make them that way so that people don't use anything on the thread, and don't, accidentally, get something inside, and mess up either the sensor, or worse - the engine.

Aaaa, that's why I smelt oil in the passenger cabin. Yesterday mechanic said I have a small leakage there and sensor needs to be replaces.

Great video! Do you think the Oil Pressure sensor could be the problem with uneven idle ? after turning air condition? (1.6 Auris only part that has a bit off oil on it). Thank you!

Uneven idling could result from your Idle Air Control Sensor if you have confirmed your plugs are good
