Thank you so much! Huge lifesaver. My AC stopped blowing cold air and we noticed that something was making seeping noise near radiator after refilling refrigerant. At first i tried replacing a relay like others suggested but that didn't work. Then i tried refilling refrigerant then found out it wouldn't hold it, it would not go to "filled" bar. That's when i realized it was leaking. I bought a radiator and followed your video how to get it replaced which was very helpful. My brother noticed that the condenser is actually what was connected to the AC cold air so i went ahead and bought that from orielly's and replaced it. Refilled coolant, refilled refrigerant. Now AC is working! I am not a mechanic, inexperienced, and i hate working with cars but i managed to do it still. In total it took me about 5 hours total. And for all the parts i bought plus coolant and bought refrigerant 3 times all total cost me about 330$.

Wow, you make this look easy. I think I may be able to replace my radiator myself. Motivated to do it myself when I'm told 2.5 hours for labor bt a mechanic and you did it less than 1 hour.

Y’all gotta understand you got charged 2.5 cuz the shop that does the things you don’t wanna do has electric bills, insurance, they gotta pay to remove ur waste fluids etc…

So the auto doesn't have 2 cooler lines that connect to the radiator?
@rreinhard433 жыл бұрын
Hello it’s me again I had my car towed to the mechanics because I didn’t want to chance it overheating. So what was wrong with my car was there were air pockets and overzealous neighbor that was helping me did not want to use my radiator funnel. The car apparently did not idle long enough for the thermostat to open. I didn’t know how long this would take and it didn’t wasn’t indicated on your video. For people like me I know nothing about mechanics I am learning if there is a detail that’s left out is going to mess me up because I’m not mechanically inclined thank you

The radiator connector for the top hose has broken, do i need to replace the radiator entirely or is there another way to fix it?
@raiderrichard72913 жыл бұрын
My radiator is leaking at the top on the drivers side. It’s leaking down but it’s weird because I can’t find the leak. I’m assuming it’s cracked. I will be doing this procedure myself. No one will sucker me for my cheese.

What is the size of this radiator, does it fit Honda Civic LX 2008 4 door, 1.8 engine, and also where is the thermostat, they said it needs to be replace too when the radiator is not good and is leaking causing overheat, and how much it cost including labour to replace the thermostat ? Thank you!

Ok, I watched this video many times and did it step by step. However, the part where you take the temperature sensor out from bottom of radiator. The video wasn't clear and the mechanic's hand was blocking the view. My neighbor pulled it out for me and then decided to "take charge" and finish. Well, my fans do not kick on, runs too hot and gauge climbs to 3/4 after too long of a wait. Fans does turn on when ac is on. Without ac on, the fans normally kick on within 1 to 2 minutes of car idling, but not now. Now the check engine light is on (I have had a new engine that was installed in September 2020), so I know there isn't anything wrong with my engine. What could this be? I did replace the temperature sensor beneath the radiator. Still same problems.
