I'm in the process of having a radiator shop put a new radiator on my 2008 Nissan Altima for a little bit over a $1000. My first thought was am I being ripped off? He told me everything he was going to do. I saw your video and I played it. everything the radiator shop told me is correct. He certainly is not ripping me off. He's doing everything you did in your video. And he's actually charging me a good price. so I thank you so much for your video. It really helped me a lot. My mechanical ability is almost 0, so I really appreciate this.

I was just quoted 600 for a radiator and timing belt on my 2009. Which is why I'm here at this video. Hearing ur getting taxed 1k makes me feel better

@@mitchelljones7573 That's actually a good price. My research I did said the price would be anywhere from a $1000 to $1400. if it includes that timing belt, then you got a really good deal.

​@@mitchelljones7573I was just quoted $75.... I just paid $60 on Amazon for a radiator for my 2012 Altima plus another $15 for coolant. Watched KZbin videos and did the work myself. Hearing RobertShaw7132 being taxed $1k and you taxed $600, it was 4 hours well spent.

He May not be ripping you off but it's still too much for a Nissan Altima, I know a mechanic who is only charging me $185 plus the part like 250, total comes out to $435. He's a very good mechanic. I say look elsewhere. $1000 is insane for a Nissan Altima 2008. I have one myself and no way I'm paying that I rather take my time all day and do it myself. But if you have the money and don't have the time then Go for it.

@@edwleo8124 $70 part on Amazon or Ebay, $20 in coolent, and a 3 to 4 hours if you aren't a mechanic.

Some videos show that if you remove the bumper you can swing the condenser out enough without have to disconnect it.

That’s correct. I removed the bumper and didn’t have to disconnect the condenser and have to get it serviced.

I think the radiator was under $200 from Advance Auto Parts. I did this repair for a friend so I didn't charge any labor.
