Why is that top hose not connected to anything? Just curious does it even have to go anywhere or is just for air flow??

Thanks for this vid' Confirmed only two bolt fasteners and what to likely expect underneath my '96 Sierra K1500. . Although likely my 'lift up' space a tad tighter due to a previous owner (I'm 5th) having installed a lift air compressor there lol

Where does the lower hose with the clamp you remove run to or attach to?

Would this procedure work the same for the 1988-1994 C/K Silverados and Sierras?

+Shy Man We don't have a how-to video for your vehicle right now, but the basic steps in this video should be enough to do this task. Buy this part for your vehicle on 1AAuto.com: 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c

Ok. And another question. Where would you buy that hose from?

@@TTM719 Do you have any (retail) Auto Recyclers in the area ? I saw a lot of their (C/K 1500s) parts vehicles with these waiting to be extracted and purchased ! Probably for less than the a cup of your favourite beverage ;-)

why isn't that hose plugged into anything?

+Marco Sanchez Thanks for watching. Most vehicles will have a hose attached at the top of the reservoir as a breather hose or an overfill hose. If there is too much coolant in the reservoir this hose is used for slight removal of any excess.
