Also a good idea to adjust your parking brake while you're in there. With everything back together, wheel back on and still jacked up off the ground give the wheel a spin. If it spins freely with zero resistance you'll want to extend the adjuster. Just enough to where there is just a little bit of resistance. Like where if you give the wheel a good spin it'll rotate 3-4 times before coming to a stop on it's own. You want that little bit of resistance so the parking brake shoes seat themselves in to the drum the first couple times you drive it. The resistance will go away after their seated. It just ensures you're parking brake will function properly at 100%.

Just did the same. Did front pads and rotors and still have shake. 😒 rear don’t look bad at all, fronts were pretty rough, dents on edges etc, but on to the rear. I always like to watch a quick vid to make sure there’s nothing special, otherwise it’s usually pretty routine. Thanks for the vid.

Just did brakes on the front of my Ram and still have a bit of a pulsation. Rear rotors are pretty ridged and looking ugly, so time to do those too I guess lol

Ram has a setting to release parking brakes. Under brake service in settings on uconnect.

@@victorortega2718 Apparently. I have never done it before but it is for brake servicing. If you don't do it then it's difficult to change rotors because the parking brake will be auto engaged.

The factory uses yellow thread locker. If it has blue it was worked on.

Ok so you may have just cleared up why my brake rotor won't come off my 2002 dodge ram 1500. I didn't know there was a drum brake mechanism and i would have just kept hitting and hitting it. Btw I'm down in Texas and we still do use road salt on our roads, although mainly on the highway.
