Great video! Well explained, no music to distract. Nice job describing the work being done. I have watched a few of your videos with this mechanic, I like her delivery. I'll be doing this job soon.

I wondered what those little washers were that came in my new kit. "Spring washer". Best video I've seen so far on this job. Thanks!

Thank you! Replacing mine with all new hardware on my 96 f150 and this video saved me so much time and effort looking elsewhere for the instructions. Much appreciated!

Just did this on my 96 f150 new hardware kits drums and shoes. I had to watch cause the last time i did drum brakes was in the 90s on my 1980 pinto and i was 16 helping my dad so i needed a refresher but there was still a learing curv since i didnt have a spring remover tool like in the vid but the 2nd side went way faster than the first side.

If you check the bottom blue spring she outs on in the video, it is in the small hole of the brakeshoe which is wrong for a 1992 f150 the bottom blue spring goes into the second larger.

Except your video and two others, all the sources I have seen has the wavy washer directly under the horseshoe clip.

Nice video, it is the best video I have ever seen, incredibly well explained, and the technicians working on the truck are professionals. Everything looks clean, and they use the right tools. 10 out of 10. I should have looked for this video yesterday before changing my truck brakes. Thanks.

What’s that weight on the drum looks almost like a tire weight does both drum supposed to have it or does it matter that one side has it and the other side don’t I just bought some drums and one of my drums I ordered has the weight but the other one I ordered don’t have the weight

Does it matter if the springs are loaded over or under in the anchor pin ? I've notice my 96 f-150 had them loaded underhand. I notice you loaded them over the anchor pin. I've seen it done both ways on the videos I watch & curious if matters.

okay for those of you watching this, incase you are like me and need a new parking brake link or "the arm between the shoes" just a heads up you cannot find it online under a 92-9 ford f150 for god knows what reason, but its the same exact piece as the ones on the ford explore and ranger just make sure its the same size as your drum

I realize this was a demo, and you have probably used those brake shoes before for other demos. I just wanted to mention that you don't want to get any grease, never seize, whatever on those surfaces. It will contaminate them. There were obvious grease and dirt spots on those shoes, but those were not necessarily being done on a vehicle that anyone was going to be driving. Just keep your hands or gloves clean to prevent this after you have disassembled all the old parts.
