Why take the caliper and rotor off?

show the left side and how you actually get it in and out. it’s different and does not fit

for me was much easier to remove cv axel when i remove brake caliper 2 bolts, to take off strut i undid svay bar upper link bolt. To put strut back in plase i undo three uper strut bolts, hoist disk with a jack and it comes in place much easier. All in all your procedure was handy. Thank you.

Hi i noticed you removed spare wheel and cover but im actually exhaust side,,and it all looks redicolous tight,,will i hsve to drop exhaust,and move sway bar ,,, cheers

It has a vairable pitch with a pretty high frequency wissle as you drive on freeway. it goes louder when you are coasting. Think of your washer spinning at high speed, and add a bit of wissle sound to it. That is the initial sign of that given away.

I have 2014 x5 50i Msport adaptive suspension.. My symptoms are it feels like misfires or a bad flat tire. I think the best way to confirm is to do visual inspection. I found that the CV axle had too much play in it.
