I like your videos. Do you have a video showing 2006 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4.0L V6 transmission service?

Isn't there supposed to be a metal shouldered washer that goes above the 1st cushion, so between the 1st cushion and the shock mount hole so that the rubber isn't riding inside that hole but the meal washer is as it fits into that hole. I'm sure that's the way the factory shocks are, they use 3 washers not 2.

Thank you very much for making these videos and also including the torque specs. Big help!

I purchased your product for my 2005 4Runner. How did you align your shock (specifically where the bottom bolt attached it to the vehicle) the shocks obviously have two sides which have different shaped faces. Which side goes toward the front of the vehicle and which one faces the rear?

How does your warranty work? Are they good ?

Great walkthrough. Me personally, I would've brushed that dirt buildup off the underside of the upper shock tower before proceeding. By not doing this, the threads of the shock picked up some of that dirt and the technician proceeded to bolt it all together capturing the dirt in there. Also, he didn't install an Old Man Emu 3" lift while he was at it. Amateur hour.

Don't even bother trying to unscrew the top bolt holiding the shock to the frame, it's a total waste of time and effort (unless it's relatively new). Use a sawsall with a metal cutting blade. It took me about 30 seconds to cut through the shaft. I'd plan on around 45 mins per shock (indluding replacing the stabilizer ends). Getting a cresent wrench on top of the passengers side shock to tighten it was a real treat. Toyota left no extra space at all.

Well I didn’t catch it either 😂 I only knew because of your comment. That had me roaring. The guy who edited the video probably did it on accident and was just like.. “meh.. fuck it.” 😂😂😂

The top locking nut does not get torqued?I have seen other youtubers torquing it about 70 ft.lbs
@julianvandersteen23034 жыл бұрын
Yeah wtf, they forgot to include the torque specs for the sway bar brackets in the front shock replacement video too. Do you happen to know those?
@davidgao70484 жыл бұрын
70 ft.lbs? That is way toooo high. That is the torque for the bottom one. The top one should be 15-20 ft.lbs, I think.
@Mirthful_Warrior2 жыл бұрын
Definitely not 70 foot lbs that could break the bolt. How he does it in the video is fine and it won’t come off.

Why do my shocks have hoses connected? Same year. Confused. Google not a big help. Can I just replace with normal shocks?
@pitviper79242 жыл бұрын

Do these also fit the sport edition 4wd?
@bryanburgess1316 Жыл бұрын
They do if you replace all 4 and get rid of the hydraulic system and lines ! Otherwise you are paying a fortune to replace them, like 400$ a piece !
